Golf – Rose aims to fill the gaps

Englishman Justin Rose says he will continue to try and carefully improve his game, having reached the top of the world rankings for the first time in his career.

Rose heads into the PGA Tour Championship at East Lake as the top-ranked player in the elite 30-man field, but Rose is determined not to rest on his laurels, while also ruling out making any major changes to a game which has served him well over the years.
He told reporters: “Having got to No.1, I can still look at my game and pinpoint areas where I know there’s gaps to fill and that’s the exciting thing.
“For me, obviously No.1 is a milestone, but it’s not really the end of any sort of journey. I still feel motivated to wake up in the morning and find those little gaps.”
Rose can be backed at 12/5 with Bet365 to be the Top European finisher at the Tour Championship.
