Soccer – Missed chances frustrate Wenger

Arsene Wenger bemoaned a series of wasted chances as Arsenal were held to a goalless draw by Southampton.

The Gunners are 3/1 with Bet365 to win the Premier League this season after failing to score for the third league game in a row. They have slipped to fourth in the table after Tottenham’s victory at Norwich City lifted them up to third.
Saints goalkeeper Fraser Forster was in superb form for Ronald Koeman’s side, who are 11/4 to clinch a top-six spot this season.
“We produced quite a good performance in the second half and created ten good chances,” said Wenger after the stalemate. “The performance we wanted was there but we can’t be happy with the way we finished our chances. That is what is disappointing.
“Some players missed chances they should take and our finishing is very bad at the moment.”
