Soccer – Kane cannot wait for Etihad showdown

Harry Kane says Premier League title chasers Tottenham will take on fellow contenders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday believing they can beat Manuel Pellegrini’s men.

Kane, who has 15 goals in the Premier League so far this season, is confident the north Londoners have got themselves into a position to challenge for the domestic game’s biggest prize and does not want to waste the opportunity.
“We don’t fear anyone,” the 22-year-old told reporters. “We are happy to go there [Etihad Stadium] and play our football and we’re excited.
“We’re playing well but we’ve got to stay focused. We know we can beat anyone in the league and that’s the attitude we have to keep.
“We are all working towards the same aim and hopefully we can keep winning games and getting better.”
The capital club thrashed their north-west title rivals 4-1 at White Hart Lane earlier this season and Pellegrini’s men will be licking their wounds after a shock 3-1 defeat by surprise table-toppers Leicester City on Saturday. Mauricio Pochettino’s men trail Claudio Ranieri’s side by five points and Kane is keen to keep up the pressure with a win on Sunday.
“This is a game we can win and we’re playing well. City will want to put things right, but we’re on a great run and the more games that come, the better,” said the England international.
Manchester City are currently priced 1/1 by Bet365 in the match betting and the draw outcome is quoted 5/2. Tottenham are available to back at 13/5 in the 90 minutes market.
