Soccer – Blanc holds Euro dream

Paris Saint-Germain boss Laurent Blanc says winning the Champions League is still the primary goal after signing a new deal at the club until 2018.

The Ligue 1 champions, who are 14/1 with Bet365 to win the Champions League this season, have decided to extend Blanc’s deal at the Parc des Princes as the club continue to dominate domestically.
Success in Europe has so far eluded the club under Blanc’s tenure but the manager is adamant success in the Champions League is still the main ambition for the Parisian outfit.
He said: “I want to thank the club for the faith they put in me.
“There’s still one competition that has eluded us – the Champions League – and it’s very difficult to win. But one day, Paris St-Germain will win it.”
