Soccer – Bilic on the front-foot for replay

Slaven Bilic has warned his West Ham players they must not allow Liverpool to get a foothold in Tuesday’s FA Cup fourth-round replay at the Boleyn Ground and wants them to attack early.

Bilic has already masterminded a Premier League double over Jurgen Klopp’s men this season – scoring five goals without conceding – and gained a creditable draw at Anfield at the end of last month in the famous old cup competition.
The 47-year-old says key to booking a place in the next round of the competition will be stopping the Merseysiders from dictating the game and he wants his players to go on the offensive.
“Liverpool are a big club and have had their ups and downs this season. Make no mistake you have to close them down and can’t give them time,” the former Croatia coach told reporters.
“When you have the ball you need to be brave and direct and we have showed that in two out of the three games we have played [against] them.”
England striker Daniel Sturridge is in line to make his return from injury against the capital club but Bilic says he will not be getting himself in knots over Klopp’s preferred line-up in attack.
“We are well prepared for whatever team they come with. We will know that one hour before the game and it is not a big problem,” he said.
West Ham are currently priced 7/5 by Bet365 in the match betting and the draw outcome is quoted 5/2. Liverpool are available to back at 21/10 in the 90 minutes market.
