Soccer – Allegri in no doubt Juventus will be "ready"

Massimiliano Allegri has said his Juventus players will be “ready” for leaders Napoli when the two Scudetto-chasers clash at Juventus Stadium in Saturday’s huge Serie A showdown.

The defending champions recorded a 14th straight club-record win in the Italian top flight with a hard-fought 2-0 victory against Frosinone on Sunday and trail their Naples rivals by only two points. Napoli also had to dig deep to secure a 1-0 win against Carpi thanks to a Gonzalo Higuain penalty and Allegri says the top-of-the-table clash has all the ingredients of a classic.
“It’ll be a fine game, it certainly won’t decide the Scudetto, but we’ll be ready for it,” Allegri told Mediaset Premium. “We have important players that Napoli need to worry about too.
“I can only compliment [Napoli coach] Maurizio Sarri, because he’s having a great campaign. It had been many years since Napoli were top of the table like this.”
Juan Cuadrado and Paulo Dybala struck late for Juve at Stadio Comunale Matusa and coach Allegri praised his players for their patience against the top-flight newcomers.
He said: “The lads did well today, but could’ve done better. When you play certain games you know sooner or later a goal will arrive, so rushing just gives the opposition an advantage.”
Juventus are currently priced 11/10 by Bet365 in the match betting and 12/5 is the quote about the draw outcome, while visitors Napoli are available to back at 12/5 in the 90 minutes betting.
