Cricket – Cook backs England for 2010 repeat

England are capable of repeating their efforts from 2010 by winning the World Twenty20 title in India, according to Test skipper Alastair Cook.

The Three Lions, who are 13/2 with Bet365 to win the 2016 World Twenty20, caused an upset six years ago to claim the title in the Caribbean.
Cook feels the current crop of players are capable of a second title under their skipper Eoin Morgan.
He told BBC Sport: “England have now got players who can win a game of cricket single-handedly.
“They have as good a chance as anybody because of how dangerous they are.
“In T20, there is always an element of luck.
“The best side wins it but, because it is such a short tournament and a short form of the game, it only takes a team to get on a roll, get a bit of confidence, and they’ll win it.”
