Soccer – Smalling keen to find the right balance

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling is looking forward to Sunday’s match against Liverpool and is confident that Louis van Gaal’s side can clinch a victory at Anfield.

United have been criticised for a lack of attacking flair this season but their defensive frailties were on show at Newcastle on Tuesday when they had to settle for a 3-3 draw despite leading 2-0 at one stage.
Van Gaal’s side, who are sixth in the division, have now drawn seven Premier League matches this season and are 1/1 with Bet365 to finish in the top four.
Smalling was disappointed with the result at St James’ Park but remains upbeat about United’s chances at Liverpool.
He said: “It’s about finding the right balance.
“We’ve done very well against Liverpool recently, so we’re very confident of going there and causing them a problem.”
United can be backed at 16/1 to beat Jurgen Klopp’s side 2-0.
