Soccer – Lovren wants more fight from Liverpool

Dejan Lovren has called for a big improvement when Liverpool take on Stoke City in the first leg of their Capital One Cup semi-final clash.

The Reds produced an abject display on Saturday as they lost 2-0 at West Ham United and boss Jurgen Klopp was quick to criticise his players after the match.
Lovren has suggested that a change in mentality is needed from the players, as Liverpool have been very inconsistent since Klopp succeeded Brendan Rodgers in the Anfield hot-seat.
Liverpool are 6/1 with Bet365 to beat Stoke City 1-0 on Tuesday and 7/4 to keep a clean sheet at the Britannia Stadium.
“We need to do more,” said former Southampton star Lovren. “I don’t know the reasons why but we need to step up quickly from the performance against West Ham.
“We definitely need to change our mentality and to fight more.”
