Rugby Union – England rocked by May blow

England have been rocked by the news winger Jonny May is likely to miss the 2016 Six Nations due to a knee injury.

The Gloucester flyer suffered the injury on Sunday in the Aviva Premiership clash with Harlequins and will now be forced to go under the knife.
Cherry and Whites boss David Humphreys has admitted it’s a blow to lose the winger, who is set to miss the Six Nations campaign in which England are 15/8 with Bet365 to be crowned champions.
He told the Gloucester Citizen: “Jonny has suffered a pretty significant knee injury that requires surgery.
“He’s seeing a specialist on Tuesday and based on the outcome of that we will have a much clearer picture of what needs to be done.
“Most importantly, it is a huge blow for Jonny to suffer an injury like that at this stage of the season. But knowing him and his dedication, he will leave no stone unturned in his recovery.”
