Formula 1 – Vettel wary of high hopes

Sebastian Vettel has warned Ferrari not to get carried away by a better than expected 2015 Formula 1 campaign, with the German 7/2 with Bet365 to be crowned world champion this year.

Vettel claimed three race victories in his first season with Ferrari and ended in third place in the drivers’ standings behind the dominant Mercedes partnership of Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg.
However, the German is wary of believing that that means that he and Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen will be able to aim even higher this year.
He told German newspaper TZ: “I think that slowly and step-by-step, everything is coming together. Of course the temptation to now think big for next year is very high, but we must not forget all the little steps on the way.
“Hopefully we will have a better year in 2016, but it is still much too early to make forecasts.”
Vettel ended the 2015 season with 278 points, 44 adrift of Rosberg, who won the final three races of the year, while Hamilton was a further 59 points ahead as he claimed his third world title.
