Cricket – Compton’s recovery pleases Anderson

Jimmy Anderson is confident that Nick Compton will be able to play in the third Test between England and South Africa.

Compton missed Monday’s nets session in Johannesburg because of a stomach bug but was involved in training on Tuesday.
Compton has scored 194 runs in the first two Tests and is 9/2 with Bet365 to be England’s top first-innings batsman in the third Test.
Anderson, who missed the first Test because of a calf injury before featuring in the drawn second match, said of Compton: “It was not ideal, him getting an illness close to the game, so it is nice to see him up and about, making a good recovery, and being back in the nets.”
England can be backed at 21/10 to win the third Test.
