Cricket – Bayliss eyes more from Stokes

England head coach Trevor Bayliss is confident there is more to come from second Test man of the match Ben Stokes.

The Durham all-rounder blasted the fastest 200 ever by an England batsman in a Test match to help the tourists secure a draw against South Africa, which preserved their 1-0 lead in the series with two matches left to play.
And Bayliss expects Stokes to produce similar performances again in the future, while admitting that his player still has things to learn about his game, with the 24-year-old having only played 21 Tests to date.
Bayliss told reporters: “I’m not sure it was a one-off. It’s quite possible he could do it again, he’s that type of player. He’s in the prime of his career and we all look forward to watching more of that.”
Stokes can now be backed at 13/8 with Bet365 to be Top England Batsman in the series, and is 8/1 to be Top England Batsman in the first innings of the third Test, which starts in Johannesburg on Thursday 14th January.
