Snooker – O’Sullivan to face Steadman in Sheffield

Ronnie O’Sullivan will begin his attempt to win a sixth World Championship crown by playing Craig Steadman in the first round in Sheffield.

It is the 32-year-old Steadman’s first appearance in the tournament and O’Sullivan is 28/1 with Bet365 to beat the debutant 10-0.
Meanwhile, defending champion Mark Selby faces Kurt Maflin, who saw off Steve Davis in qualifying.
Selby, who beat O’Sullivan in last year’s final, can be backed at 8/1 to win the tournament for the second year in a row.
Four-time winner John Higgins faces Robert Milkins, while there is an all-Welsh clash between Mark Williams and Matthew Stevens. Stephen Maguire comes up against Anthony McGill in an all-Scottish affair.
