Golf – Bjorn aiming for Asia success

Veteran Dane Thomas Bjorn is hoping to finally register a victory in Asia when he tees off at the Indonesian Masters in Jakarta.

The 44-year-old has registered 15 European Tour victories during his career, but has not been able to break his duck in Asia, although he has won the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament on the Japanese Tour on two occasions.
And Bjorn, 22/1 with Bet365 to win the Indonesian Masters, is ready to try and end that drought, while admitting the hot and humid conditions do not help him.
He told the Asian Tour website: “It has been one of those things (winning in Asia) that has been slipping away from me over the years.
“I’ve come so close on a couple of occasions and eventually I’m sure I’ll get over the line.
“Dealing with the weather is part and parcel of what we do, but when you get into such conditions and especially when you come from the northern part of Europe, it can be difficult. It’s extreme but it’s not impossible.”
